Long Days, Long Nights; You Don’t Understand.
Sometimes, I have to go to the extreme, and this time I’ll go there by saying most people do not understand the amount of free time they have every single day.
There are people who wake up at the break of dawn to get ready, get to their early morning class, go straight to another class, straight to work, get 10 minutes to eat, to another class, then to their extracurricular meetings and/or dance practice and/or intramural sports game.
Whilst these hard workers put their minds and bodies through mental and physical exhaustion, there are those who sit in front of their computers all day, complaining about how tired, how hungry, how bored, how lazy they are and how difficult school is. It probably wouldn’t be that difficult if those same people got off their computers to study. Maybe got off their ass to work out or try something new, they wouldn’t be so bored.
Most students go to class, then sleep afterward, or hang out, or waste hours on Tumblr afterward. Other students are reviewing their notes and doing practice problems to prepare for their midterm that’s 3 weeks away so they won’t have to cram. Some dancers are choreographing and taking classes, some just learn from the choreographer and don’t practice on their own. Some athletes only practice for games or when it counts, others are already practicing during pre-season.
There is so much to do and so little time to do it all. Everyone knows this. Hardly anyone is doing anything different. If you are pushing your limits each and every day, keep pushing. If you aren’t pushing yourself and you don’t mind, keep doing what you’re doing. If you don’t like how are you are or how your academic/dance/professional life is, it’s time for some change.
Stop wasting time.
